Many technology vendors make bold claims about ROI and results, often without any data to back-up those claims. Forcepoint however cannot be accused of this, having achieved a sequence of 3 top accolades from Gartner, NSS Labs and IDC within the space of just a few months.

Highest Overall Security Effectiveness

Having gone through a 31-day continuous testing period with NSS Labs, alongside 10 other vendors, the security effectiveness of Forcepoint’s NGFW 3301 was “unsurpassed” according to Thomas Skybakmoen, Distinguished Research Director at NSS Labs, who went on to then recommend “it should be on every company’s short list”.

As the only vendor to have successfully blocked 100% of tested exploits run from the NSS Labs static exploit library, Forcepoint achieved the highest possible ratings for enterprise security and operational efficiency, resulting in being awarded NSS Labs ‘RECOMMENDED’ rating for the fifth consecutive year.

The Business Value of Switching to Forcepoint NGFW

Having blocked all evasions during the NSS Labs tests successfully, while properly identifying malicious content without any false positives at a low total cost of ownership (TCO), this was reinforced by recent research carried out by IDC which assessed the Business Value in Switching to Forcepoint NGFW. The findings from this research showed that Forcepoint’s NGFW reduced the TCO burden, decreasing IT staff time spent on network security admin by 53% and raising the speed of resolving incidents by 73%. Downtime was also reduced with 70% less planned maintenance and 30% fewer planned outages. Through these results, IDC found that Forcepoint NGFW paid for itself in an average of seven months and provided a 510% ROI over a five year period.

Best of Both Worlds – High Performance & Strong Security

The results Forcepoint has achieved demonstrate that it is possible for security vendors to combine vision with innovation to deliver security and efficiency at scale. The recent recognition that Forcepoint received in Gartner 2017 Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Network Firewalls stengthens this claim, seeing them leap from Niche player in 2016 to the highest to execute in the Visionary quadrant in 2017.

“Forcepoint’s position at the top of the Visionary quadrant, combined with the other accolades we have received this year from NSS Labs and IDC, reflect the difference that our approach makes possible,” says Antti Reijonen, vice president and general manager of the Network Security business at Forcepoint. “We have proven we can provide seamless visibility in to cyber behaviours and enforcement of business policies throughout enterprise networks – from data centres and the edge out to branch locations and the cloud,” she concludes.
