Google Trends Abused to Serve Malware
Thanks to the in depth updates provided by McAfee Research Blog (now integrated into the Secure Computing Trusted Source site) we have another threat to be wary of. I recommend reading this article and understanding the implications, the basic advice is always check where you click.
The people behind this current threat use popular search terms in pages that contain malware to drive the pages to the top of the search results. The popularity of the search terms ensures that the page receives many hits. Bearing this in mind, it's always a good idea to check the URL of the link before clicking.
