SecureWeb (WebWasher) Update 6.7.6

Secure Computing have released a version update v6.7.6 Build 3649 for all WebWasher Appliances. Major version updates need to be manually invoked at an appropriate time by an Administrator as the process reboots the Appliance at the end of the update.

To run this process follow the steps below at a time when a reboot is convenient.

1. Login to the Management Interface of the Appliance [Primary Appliance if you have a Clustered Pair of units] as the ‘admin’ user

2. Backup the Unit:

a. Go to the “Configuration” Tab at the top of the screen
b. Select “Backup & Restore” on the left menu
c. Click the “Download Configuration Backup…” in the centre of the page, leaving the default settings in place, and save the file in a safe location
d. If the backup fails please contact NETprotocol Support.

3. To start the Update process:

a. Click “Appliance” on the left menu
b. Click the “Update” tab towards the middle of the display
c. Click “Contact” in the middle of the display
d. When updates are available a summary of the Appliance Update is displayed in the middle of the screen
e. Towards the bottom of the page a section entitled “Update Appliance” will be available
f. When you are ready to begin the update:

i) for a single appliance Click the “Download and Install” button
ii) for a clustered pair check the “Send to Cluster” box and click “Download and Install”

g. The process will automatically download the update, install it to the unit(s) and reboot

4. Once the update is complete and the unit(s) have rebooted it may take several minutes [up to 15 minutes in some cases] after the reboot for the Management Interface to become available again.

5 Once you can access the Management Interface login and confirm that the update has completed. This can be verified by the version number displayed at the top of the Management Pages which should now read:
“WebWasher 6.7.6 build 3649……..”

This release of the WebWasher software has some feature updates along with a number of bug fixes.

If you have any concerns over the update process please Log a Support Call @ www.netprotocol.net/secure
