NetPilot Product Suite

The NetPilot product range consists of many different versions of the NetPilot unit each one suited to different organisations, based on size and required levels of functionality. Every unit has the CheckMark accredited Firewall, Proxy server and e-mail functionality and additional functionality is added as you move up the range, along with scalablity.

The NetPilot product range has a proven track record for security and functionality and Equiinet are constantly building on this. When purchasing a NetPilot users not only get the current technology but also get automatic updates for the unit to unlock new features as functions as they become available.

In addition to these core system upgrades it is also possible to "bolt-on" products such as E-Mail and Web Page virus scanning (powered by Sophos AV), E-Mail Spam Filtering (powered by SpamCop) and Web Site Content Filtering (powered by N2H2). Each of the "bolt-on's" further extends the functionality of the NetPilot and ensures administrators can control all Internet traffic from a single point.

NetPilot 3

The new third generation NetPilot 3 is faster, has more capacity and is more upgradeable. A smaller brother to the NetPilot Plus, yet still packs powerful performance. 'Pick and Mix' your upgrade requirements from : TurboVPN, Sophos Anti Virus, N2H2 content checking, Anti-SPAM etc.

NetPilot Remote

NetPilot Remote is an attractively priced multifunctional security appliance for remote offices of up to 15 PCs. It is ideal for small offices that need multi user access via VPN to a central office while also needing the protection of a fully approved firewall and the ability to link via ADSL or ISDN.

NetPilot Plus

NetPilot Plus is more powerful and comprehensive version of the market-leading NetPilot 3 and includes TurboVPN, Sophos Anti Virus, N2H2 content checking, Anti-SPAM as standard. Enables organisations to easily and securely deploy secure VPNs, controlled Internet access and virus free networks.

Which NetPilot is right for you?

Each model in the NetPilot range is designed to suit specific requirements of functionality & scale. Virtual Private Networking with the NetPilot Range

The VPN capabilities of the NetPilot range offer an easy and secure way for organisations to deploy Internet-based IPSec Virtual Private Networks, Internet access and email facilities. They integrate key communications, networking and server elements into a single unit. NetPilot VPN is ideal for medium-sized organisations or as a VPN node at a branch office of a larger organisation. NetPilot Enterprise VPN is ideal for locating at a central site or for power applications at branch offices.

By installing these new products organisations can establish totally secured VPNs between their sites using existing Internet connections. Secure networks can be easily established. Other Internet activities, such as web browsing and the transferring of email to and from other destinations around the world, can operate alongside the VPN activity

It's also possible to establish VPN connections from remote sites that have NetPilot VPN with ISDN connectivity, to a centrally located NetPilot VPN or Enterprise VPN which has a permanent Internet connection via leased line or DSL. Note a fixed, static IP address, is required whether the NetPilot VPN or Enterprise VPN is connected through a fixed leased line, DSL or dial up ISDN. (Only VPN single user client client configurations can operate with a dynamic IP address)

Both NetPilot VPN products provide the facilities for remote access to, and administration of, NetPilots and associated local networks. All these functions are achieved at low cost - using the Internet - and are totally secure. Also provided is the functionality to remotely access email on NetPilot or an office mail-server on its LAN, from anywhere in the world. From home or hotel, an office network is securely accessible for the cost of a local phone call if Internet access is available - no more direct dialing to a RAS server is required. A suitable IPSec client installed on the PC or Notebook being used to remotely access the NetPilot is required for this capability.

Previously, VPN functionality had been offered on the NetPilot and NetPilot Enterprise as an extra cost optional upgrade. To make the process of procuring and installing a VPN capable product hassle free, the new NetPilot VPN and NetPilot Enterprise VPN products come ready to roll with VPN out of the box.
